“American Idol’s” Simon Cowell announced his engagement Monday night on “The Tonight Show.” Despite dispelling engagement rumors in recent weeks, Cowell spoke with Jay Leno regarding his upcoming nuptials and introduced his make up artist girlfriend, Mezhgan Hussainy.
Neither Cowell nor Hussainy confirmed a wedding date, with Cowell saying sometime “within the next ten years” when questioned by Leno. Cowell went on to say “I always said if I was going to get engaged, I’d get engaged to a makeup artist” jokingly. Then Leno got into the joke and asked if Hussainy gives “touch ups in bed” and Cowell retorted “At least three touch-ups a night.” That’s when Hussainy quickly exited the stage after an impromptu invitation by Leno.
The couple have no plans for the future but the egocentric Cowell reponded to Leno’s question with “I’m kind of torn because I’m a bit too old to have kids but then I think it would be awesome to have a lot of mes running around.”
